That’s a wrap on the inaugural YEG Burger Battle!
The first-ever YEG Burger Battle brought together 14 incredible local restaurants and inspired thousands of Edmontonians and surrounding communities to get out, taste something new, and support a great cause. For every burger sold, $1 went to KidSport Edmonton — and together, we raised an amazing $5,162 to help local KidSport kids access the power of sport.

Congratulations to The Varsity Kitchen Burgers Bar, crowned the inaugural Burger Battle Champion with their Big Kahuna burger 🍍🍔. While pineapple on pizza may be up for debate, pineapple on a burger has officially taken the crown!
Most importantly, every restaurant played a huge role – not only in raising funds through their delicious creations, but also in raising awareness of KidSport in our community. For that, we are deeply grateful.
This is just the beginning. The YEG Burger Battle will be back in 2026 – bigger, better, and tastier than ever.
